Moving on with Phase 2...

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day, activity-wise. I did get a surprising amount of work done but I couldn't really be bothered to get out of my PJs until noon. I guess that's not really a bad thing.

Anyhow, today is another story. We have a New Year's Eve party/Open House every year. We've thought about cancelling it several times over the past couple of months but, well, it's all about the kids. We have a nephew whose birthday is 12/31. A few years ago, we had a cake for him and ever since, well, he always gets to blow out his candles with us. One of these years, we'll have to break it to him that the party and the noisemakers aren't *really* for his birthday. Hopefully, by then he'll want to have his own birthday party with his friends, KWIM? (We'd thought this was the year since he is in grade school and surely too 'cool' to hang with us, but apparently not.)

So, today I have to get the house back in order. It's really not too awful but I do need to put away the Christmas wrapping paper that's stacked up in a corner in the living room and that sort of thing.

Diet-wise, I pulled out my Beck Diet Solution book and notes and have been reviewing the habits again. Some of them have 'stuck' but I have let more than a few slide. I am updating my cards and journalling my checklists again.

Today's workout will be Plyometrics. Woohoo! But first, a certain canine is letting me know that she has some needs...

Update: Plyometrics -- done. While I love getting a good workout that uses no equipment with easy choreography, I can feel the dread for this one coming on big time. I have a couple of Bosu workouts that I think will make reasonable subs for this one over the next few weeks. (Reactive Strength and Power with Gay Gasper, Explode! with Mindy Mylrea, etc.)
