Wednesday

Back at work and slowly getting back into the 'workout swing'. No P90X workouts yet but I did spend some time on my Spin bike and did another Classical Stretch segment.

Update:

I did get in a pretty good workout today. A friend lent me the Squeeze DVD and I did the Power Squeeze pre-mix, a 30 min ballet/yoga/pilates inspired workout. I do like enjoy these workouts and will probably add this to my collection eventually. The workout was pretty tough despite being short (there is a 60 min workout as well as additional custom segments to mix and match for your own personalized workout on the DVD as well). Tracy is perkier than most when it comes to this sort of workout but it does help add to the energy in the workout.

Also, since it will be another 3 weeks before I have a recovery week, I snuck in Mindy Mylrea's Cycle Circuit. Well, most of it. My legs were a little fried so my effort on the last set of sprints was lagging. I really liked the idea of this workout for cross-training. The first hill climb is followed by a lunge series using Gliding discs. OwOwOwOw. Next was a series of flats on the bike followed by upper body resistance band work. She tried to create a biathalon effect and used swimming type motions with the band wrapped around the handle bars of the bike. The triceps work was pretty intense by the end of it. Finally the sprints on the bike were followed by abs and push-ups using the discs. Abs, I managed pretty well. Some of those push-ups/planks were another story, LOL. All in all, I think this makes a reasonable substitution for Core Synergistics.
