Saturday

Friday night workout: Inspired by yesterday's sneak preview, I decided to workout with Tony, so I chose P90 Masters Plyo Legs.

And, of course, every time I do one of these I start thinking about doing another P90X rotation. Sigh.

Still deciding on what to do today...

Late update.

Workout-wise, I went with Tracie Long Training Endurance for Movement. Sorry, Tracie, I tried, but I still don't care much for this one. Some of it was great. I'm sure I would probably benefit a great deal from doing all of that plank work on a regular basis but for the most part, there was too much going on in this workout that it felt a little disjointed. One minute you're doing kickboxing, the next minute it's Supermans on the stability ball, right into some sort of compound lunge, bicep curl, overhead press move.

This evening we went out to dinner and go see a favorite band. Great music, good food, but, naturally, after weeks of hot, humid weather, we had to pick the one night when the temperature was in the 40s to see a concert outside. Sigh. It was still fun if a little chilly. At least we didn't attempt to sit in the grass.

Plyo Legs is an AWESOME leg workout. Are you limping today???

I know what you mean. I was determined to start a new P90X rotation a bit back, but realized I couldn't do it - I love Tony... but not that much. I think if you did something LIKE P90X using the "best of" and other cardio, that could work.

I'm right there with you about "All Tony, All The Time!"

My problem right now is that I'm not sure I can commit to something that requires an hour+ of working out 6-7 days/week. Some weeks I can do it, but lately it's been a real struggle.

Maybe I'll make it a New Years thing. :)

:-)

Glad you and the hubby had such nice one-on-one time. Marriages like yours give me hope.

(HAHAHAHA... I almost believed myself, hehe.)

PS: I'll say it again, I can't get into that Tracie Long set for the life of me. Is that the one where she is wearing the tennis skirt? I mean, who works out in a skirt besides Chalene??

Rose, I saw your post on the YaYas about Rock of Love... I admit I am watching this too, lol. What a hot mess!! However, Bret seems at least sincere (if not super intelligent, lol). Anyway, I can't find Big John's blog on vh1.com. Can you post a link??

ROFLMAO @ the skirt comments. I keep thinking the same thing.

I will confess to owning a couple of skirts that I wear to jog in because I can't find shorts that I like but that's it. They just don't work for videos. Period.

Big John's commentary is included in the 'after the episode' videos. Go to vh1.com, click Rock of Love and look for the videos. Each episode has 'bonus' "what we couldn't air" type clips and then there's Big John's review. He was hating on Lacey from episode 2! He ends each one with a 'memory' of being on the road with Bret. Some of those are pretty funny.

I do agree: Bret, balding skank or not, comes off as sincere in all of this. A LOT more sincere than Flavor Flav. LOL.

Speaking of, I still can't believe there are women submitting videos to be considered for FoL3. I just want to slap them: who wants to be groped on national television by a 50 yr old grandfather with 8 kids by 5 different women who can't be bothered to pay child support for most of them?!?!

LOL! I know, but we LURVE those shows. My 16 year old watches them with me... I admit I shouldn't allow it, but what the hey. His commentary is so funny, too. You remember Erin with the clown boobs? After one particularly in-your-face scene, he turned to me and said, "Those are bigger than my head!" LMAO

Too true. There's just something about the trainwreck factor... I tell myself I'll pass on FOL3, but, sigh, that would be a lie...

(And the Pick-Up Artist is also a hoot if you can catch a marathon of the eps some time. I SWEAR I saw 2 guys on Saturday night trying out Mystery's 'moves'.)
