Monday was the last workout in the 4 Day Split series, Kickbox.
The cardio section begins with a thorough warm-up, almost 10 min, that runs through the basic kicks and punches. The main workout is a series of 5-6 short athletic drills that increase in intensity.
For the weights section, it's leg day! The exercises are targeted to work all muscles except calves (see LIS for that group): squats, deadlifts, leg press with a variation to emphasize the outer thighs, plie squats, and lunges.
The only exercise that I really did not care for was the lunge variation with a balance challenge. The move started on the floor with the toes of the back leg elevated on the step platform. From that kneeling position, lift up into the lunge. While I thought it was probably pretty effective, I felt really unstable.
The workout ends with a challenging ab routine and a stretch.

Rose, what did you think of the kickboxing? Was it more comparable to KPC or Kickmax or something else??
I'd say it's a little more like Kickmax but more intense. The moves aren't quite as choreographed as KPC.
